Clothes- Sexless Cloth And Linen Without Flesh

I have decided to give this blog a headstart with what every woman loves best after diamonds, clothes. Clothes in this revolutionary era is not only considered as linen to help keep us warm and cover our utmost precicous jewels but also in helping most of us feel good about ourselves. Make-up is assumed to revitalise a woman's confidence but i think clothes aid in the process too. Our male counterparts too depend on clothes to make them feel good about themselves.

'Do we look good in that or does it look good on us?' was what i was musing about for a few weeks, ok truthfully, a long time ago. Lets say, for example, we spot a racer- back tee in turquoise which we think would look good in it but is discouraged from a special someone, because of its colour, whose words u take more seriously than a shrink's. However, you trust your own instincts and eventually get the tee only to realize that you look amazing in it, which the special someone agrees a thousand times over. What does this show?

I think clothes by itself are sexless cloth and linen without flesh. We ignite it to life by wearing it. We see runway models being stick thin catwalking for fashion giants like Gucci and Faragamo. Lets face it, do the clothes really look flattering on them?. The way we see it on them is the way we would see it on a coat hanger. Thus, we are looking at them with the same dilemma, 'would it look nice on me?'. Alternatively, we are also made to appreciate the fashion labels without any strings attached to them, admire them for what they are, not because they fit perfectly on someone. Alas, this is what i guess the fashionistas strive to aim.

The notion of clothes being unsensual without being worn by someone, was even adopted by Thomas Hardy, though in which book i would cease to mention. I think this notion from someone who lived in the romanticist period, which still makes people ponder about it even till now, is a magnificient writer indeed.

Clothes- a part of me, on me.
