What boredom makes you think of...

I unknowingly picked up the habit of 'frensterin' whenever i am bored. Its like never-ending beads of people attached to a long piece of chain. . Friendster, in actual fact helps update me on my friends whom I am not close to anymore. Its nice to see and know how people have changed and moved on from the last time i ever heard about them.

But what really amuses me is not the relatively nice pictures but the captions that go with it and even the animated testimonials with the so-called flowery language that comes with it. I couldn't help but think to myself that even 'Vogue' wouldn't have come up with such captions for their articulate pictures. Ha ha! Well, another thing would be the use of certain words these people would have used to try to imply certain perfect traits about themselves. I cant remember most of them, but the common ones which i can think of now is ' narcissist'.

Well, i guess it is to imply that they are egoistic because of their good looks or something. I don't think that its something to be proud of as from what i know, it refers to an introvert who is like a weirdo. Ha ha, no where does it state anything about looks in the thesaurus.


These people really need to use the language accordingly but they just use it because it sounds like a a bombastic word that relates to good looks. The pictures that bear these kinda captions speak a million words too- anything but' picture perfect' in their lingo.Ha ha OK, that was majorly biased, but i couldn't help it.

I really shouldn't be the one criticising or belittling these people cause i am no Shakespeare myself, but its hard not to notice and not find it peculiar. Anyway, no need for profound English, its just friendster we're talking about, not even Marie Claire or something.
